A silent science-fiction film by the pioneer of live-action cinema Georges Méliès inspired by Jules Verne’s works
Professor Mabouloff played by Méliès himself, speaks at a conference where the best ways to reach the Northern Pole are discussed. While others make futile attempts to use a hot-air balloon or an automobile Mabouloff and his team set out in a specially constructed flying machine to complete the perilous journey.
