The motion picture shows guests of the photographical congress disembarking on the quay of Neuville-sur-Saône
Passengers walk down the gangplank onto the pier, some stop to greet the cameraman. The shooting took place on the 11th of June 1895 and the following day the footage was shown at the closing ceremony of the Congress. This screening can be considered the first ever presentation of documentary footage. The motion picture was the fourth entry in the program of the first ever commercial screening on the 28th of December 1895.
