Director Nikolai Berentsev is preparing to shoot an ambitious science-fiction movie about an expedition to Venus. Inventing the unknown planet, he starts to doubt whether people need his future picture. What is the purpose of all these dreams about Space while on Earth there are a lot of unsolved issues?

MIKHAIL ARKHIPOV received a degree at the Military Communications University specializing in radio communication, radio broadcasting and television, specializing in space (satellite) communications. For 8 years served in the armed forces of the Russian Federation. In 2008–2020 he worked on TV. In 2017 graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Cinema and TV (class of film studies of Oleg Kovalov). Associate Professor at the department of feature film directing at the University. In 2019 his short debut “Fuel” participated in many national and international film festivals and won the Grand Prix of the “Kinotavr”. “The Planet” is his feature debut.
