ANDREI ZAITSEV is a Russian director, scriptwriter, producer. He was born in 1975. Graduated from the department of journalism at the Moscow State University and from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors as a film and TV director. Winner of the Government of Russia Award in the Sphere of Culture (2012). Multiple winner of national film awards Golden Eagle and Laurel Branch. His movie “A Siege Diary” (2020) won the main prize at the 42nd MIFF. His directorial filmography also includes “My Home” (2000, doc.), “Gleb” (2002, doc.), “Father”, “Mother” (2004, doc., with N.Mikhalkov), “Poster” (2006, short), “Viktor Astafyev.
