1941, since the Japanese occupation, China has become a wartime intelligence battlefield for the Allies and the Axis Powers. Iconic actress Jean Yu returns to Shanghai, ostensibly to appear in the play Saturday Fiction directed by her former lover. But what is her true aim? To free her ex-husband? To gather intelligence for the Allied Forces? To work for her adoptive father? Or to escape from war with her lover? As she embarks on her mission, with friends ever more difficult to distinguish from undercover agents, as everything spirals out of control, Jean Yu starts to question whether to reveal what she has learnt about the imminent Pearl Harbor attack.

Ye Lou born in Shanghai, Lou was educated at the Beijing Film Academy and commonly grouped with the «Sixth Generation» directors of Chinese cinema. In 1993 he made his first film «Weekend Lover», but it was not released until two years later. Lou did not gain international prominence until his third film, the neo-noir «Suzhou River» (2000). Among his most notable works are «Purple Butterfly» (2003), "Summer Palace» (2006), "Spring Fever" (2009) and «Mystery» (2012).

Everything changes for the Ing family when the husband and father is diagnosed with terminal cancer. The mother, who is the main supporter has become more isolated, while the son is no longer certain about his future plans although he has been accepted to study abroad. The conflicted family returns to the father’s hometown for the tomb-sweeping ritual, but his original mountain tomb has been replaced by a newly built hotel.

HUANG ZI wwas born in Guangzhou, China. He studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. His short film “The City” (2013) was selected for several festivals. «All about Ing» (2019) is his debut feature.
