Carmen Sangion was born in 1977 in Coranationville, South Africa. Studied at the Newtown Film and Television School in Johannesburg. She directed a number of short films which were screened at international film festivals. “Salvation” is her first feature film.

Christiaan Olwagen born in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied Drama at the University of Stellenbosch, specialising in Theatre Directing under the mentorship of Marthinus Basson. Christiaan’s film debut was in 2013 at the Silwerskerm Festival in Cape Town, with the short film «Toevlug». The short won Best Director, Screenplay and Best Short Film. His feature film debut was in 2016 with «Johnny is nie Dood nie». This was followed by the astonishing «Kanarie» (2018) and the Afrikaans adaptation of Chekhov’s «The Seagull» (2018) transposed to a contemporary South African setting.
