GUO DALU (HU JIA) was born in Xinjiang. He grew up in Shanghai and studied abroad in France. In 2014, his first film “Dance with Me” was selected in the FIRST International Film Festival. In 2017, his film “The Taste of Betel Nut” was selected in the Panorama of the Berlinale, HKIFF, and won the Best Feature Film at the Seattle International Film Festival.
