UNTIL NEXT SPRING

The protagonist Vera, a student at the Leningrad pedagogical institute, big love brings bitter disillusionment and pain instead of the expected happiness. She has lost faith in people and self-confidence becoming suspicious and reclusive. Vera drops out of the institute, takes her little daughter and goes to the country where nobody knows her. There she starts working at the local school. Soon she makes friends with Alexei, a teacher at a nearby school, a sensitive and sympathetic man. Thanks to him Vera begins to see life in a different light.
