Sergio, a young Spanish fan, travels to Utrecht to support his team, RCD Espanyol, but just before his flight home he suffers a panic attack

He pretends to have lost the papers and takes a spontaneous decision to stay in the Netherlands, severing all ties with the past. Without money or the command of the language he survives by hard manual labor in complete loneliness. Gradually Sergio realizes that his flight is an attempt to break free from imposed roles and accept his suppressed identity. Thousands of miles and countless hardships later he finds the courage to face the truth and let go of the burden of his past.
