MARIANNA KIREEVA completed her graduate and post-graduate courses at VGIK (department of scriptwriting and film studies). Film scholar, scriptwriter, documentary director, teacher. Worked at the TV Channel “Rossiya” combining creative and administrative duties. Wrote and directed several programs about the history of cinema. In 1998 in collaboration with N.Kleiman shot and directed the documentary “The House of the Master” which won a TEFI Award. As scriptwriter and director worked at the documentary projects “Anthology of Russian Cinema” (2002–2008, series), “Sergey Komarov’s Age of Cinema” (2005), “Custodians” (2008), “Lost Films. Eldar Ryazanov’s “Cyrano de Bergerac” (2010), “Far-Away Lands” (2019).
