A story from the life of Lev Vygotsky (1896–1934), a prominent scientist, a leading figure in world psychology and pedagogy
Moscow, 1934. At the close of his life sensing the approaching demise, Lev Vygotsky yielded to his relatives' demands and agreed to undergo several psychoanalytical sessions with the grand dame of world psychology Sabina Spielrein, a pupil of both Freud and Jung. Two eminent scientists with largely opposite viewpoints try to give answers to the main question of their time – is there a method which could ensure the creation of a "new man"?

ANTON BILZHO
Anton Bilzho graduated from the Department of Journalism at MGU and the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors (class of V.Khotinenko, P.Finn, and V.Fenchenko). Participant in and prizewinner of numerous Russian and international film festivals. He directed the films "Dream Fish" (2016), "Ambivalence" (2018), "Swan Lake" (2021), "My Invisible One" (2024), "The End of Ends" (2025). Teaches at the Moscow School of New Cinema.
