Monica Guerritore made her debut at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan at the age of 16 in Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard". She made her TV debut in "Manon Lescaut", and in cinema she was "She-Wolf, Lavia" (1996). She wrote and directed "Joan d'Arc" and "Mi chiedete di parlare" theatre productions. In 2019, she directed "The Good Person of Szechwan" and, in 2023, she adapted and directed Federico Fellini's "Ginger & Fred" for the stage. She achieved worldwide success with the Netflix series "Deceitful Love" (2024). She has three Nastro D'Argento awards. She was named Commander of Merit of the Italian Republic. Cofounder of the production company LuminaMGR. "Anna Magnani – The Untold Story" is her first feature film.
