The movie which won three Oscars relates the story of three Hollywood silent stars who discover that they are not wanted in sound cinema

The film starts when a hapless young scriptwriter accidentally ends up in a former star’s mansion in Sunset Boulevard. The aging actress has long been forgotten by the public but desperately tries to make a comeback to cinema.
