The autistic postman had been diligently delivering mail since childhood
The whole town knew and loved him, and a few families held a special place in his heart. One day, he couldn’t bring himself to deliver a death notice. Instead, he wrote a “letter from the front”. From then on, he replaced death notices with letters, and no one ever suspected the deception because the postman was a talented man – his letters seemed to be written by different people. But this didn’t last long, because during wartime, the military authorities closely monitored the mail.

ANDREY RAZENKOV
ANDREY RAZENKOV was born in 1967 in Moscow. In 1990 graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute, in 1992 – from the International Film School of Nikita Mikhalkov and Rustam Ibragimbekov. He was an assistant director for Nikita Mikhalkov and Ivan Passer, also a director-in-training for Krzysztof Zanussi. In 1992, together with Yegor Konchalovsky, he created the Partner Studio TV Commercials, where he shot about 60 advertising clips. His directorial debut “Tests for Real Men” (1998) won award at the Kinotavr Film Fesitval. His filmography also includes “Northern Lights” (2001), “Amber Wings” (2003), “Kromov” (2009, with M.Petukhov and K.Filimonov), segments in the film almanacs “Moscow, I Love You!” and “Baku, I Love You” (2015).
