LEGENDS FROM THE PAST

IVAN SOSNIN was born in 1990 in Kirovgrad, Sverdlovsk region of the USSR. While a student he worked at a creative agency, shot promo and music videos, later he turned his attention to cinema. His works participated in film festivals in Vancouver, Cottbus, Shanghai and others. Winner of the Golden Eagle Award for the shorts “Interview” (2018) and “Thirty Seconds” (2023, participant in the MIFF). His movie “Alien” (2024) was represented in the MIFF main competition. His filmography also includes “Lights” (2018, short), “Moscow – Vladivostok” (2019, short), “Love” (2019, short), “Ecology Class” (2019, short), “Big Eight” (2020, short), “Ivans Remembering Their Kinship” (2021), “Ink Sea” (2021, short), “Weightlessness” (2021, short), “So Far, So Near” (2022), “Road into the Clouds” (2022, short), “Yg” (2024, series), etc.
