“Darkness of Summer” depicts the rich ethnographic culture of India’s Irula tribe
It also brings to light their vulnerability and how they easily get trapped into the system of bonded Labour and other social evils. The film brings these out through the journey of a newly married couple and the hardships and atrocities that they face because of a brick kiln owner under whom the man works.

The film “Darkness of Summer” premiered in Norway in 2023 by NTFF. The short “The Inner Face” was made with iPhone for AR Rahman Foundation’s short film festival. Worked as сo-director with Bharatbala on the film “Maryan” (2013). She directed her debut feature film “Siragu” in 2019.
