LEONID SHMELKOV is a director, animator, scriptwriter, illustrator. Born in 1982 in Moscow. In 2005 graduated from the Moscow State University of the Press as a book illustrator, in 2009 from the School Studio SHAR as an animation director, in 2019 from the magistrature of the Estonian Academy of the Arts. Teaches animation directing. Winner of national and international film festivals and of the Nika award. His filmography also includes “Station” (2007), “Dog Playground” (2009), “Hopping” (2012), “My Private Elk” (2013), “A Very Lonely Cock” (2015), “Falling Pears” (2017), “Lola a Living Potato” (2019), etc.
