MAISAM ALI is hailing from the Himalayan region of Ladakh, India. He is a graduate of the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) where he studied film direction. His short films “Left to the Air” and “Far in Night” have been screened in France, USA, UAE and in India. As a filmmaker, he deals with the themes of home, belonging and journey. “In Retreat” is his debut feature film.
