IN BETWEEN LIVING

Juboraj Shamim is a Bangladeshi independent filmmaker working across writing, directing, and producing. His debut feature "The Instinct" (2022) premiered at the Moscow IFF, where it won the NETPAC Jury Award and the Special Jury Award. His second feature, "In Between Living", reflects a shift toward a more experimental and introspective cinematic approach. In parallel with his film practice, he leads a grassroots initiative in Tongi focused on community education and film culture. His directorial filmography also includes the short films "The Putul" (A Family, 2014), "The Nameless Women" (2016), "The Contrast" (2017), "Wish" (2017), "Relatives" (2018), "The Development" (2019, doc.), "No Camera is There" (2021, doc.).
