JAMES LUCAS
James Lucas is a scriptwriter and director. After graduating from film school, being a writer/researcher at Talkback Television and an assistant editor at Tank Magazine, he began working at Ridley Scott's RSA Films. In 2013 he co-wrote and produced the short film "The Phone Call" with director Mat Kirkby. The film went on to win 16 international film festival awards including Best Narrative Short at Tribeca. This culminated Lucas and Kirkby winning the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film in 2015. His filmography also includes "The Phoenix of Gloucester" (2022), "Paint the Dragons' Eyes" (2020).
