It soon becomes clear that he has no political ambitions, but he does have sporting ones: he is passionate about football. In May 2003, he bought London's Chelsea and won the Premier League, then a few seasons later claimed a dramatic Champions League victory. By 2022, Chelsea had won every trophy in European football, but that same year, Abramovich sold the club.
