For the first time in her life Virineya (“seeing in the forest” in Mokshan) is an ethnic Moksha woman who grew up in Moscow, meets Vasily, a man of her own nationality

IVAN VETOSHKIN was born and grew up in Moscow. For 11 years he played football, served in the army, studied at the Institute of Journalism and Literary Work. In 2024 he graduated from the Moscow School of New Cinema, where he studied in the class of the director of photography Alexei Rodionov. The same year he was one of ten finalists of the competition of shorts held by the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre for students and graduates of cinema schools. “Uncle” is his graduation work which he made without a crew and with a token budget. Next he plans to make his feature debut in Mordovia.
