JOSELITO ALTAREJOS is a native of Masbate, had formative years in theater and television before he was given the opportunity to become a filmmaker in 2007. Among his recent films are Cinemalaya Best Film “The Commitment” (2014), the Gawad Urian-awarded films like “Jino to Mari” (2019), “Memories of Forgetting” (2020) and “The Revolution Knows No Gender” (2021). He carefully utilizes all his learning tools and secures them in creating what he advocates as Cinema of the Social Consciousness.
