At the end of the 60s of the last century, Bulgaria was behind the Iron Curtain, as a satellite of the USSR
But some representatives of the Bulgarian intellectuals go to the West, trying to discover artistic and creative freedom. A young Bulgarian artist finds himself in Paris, then a young and very popular singer in Bulgaria also came there. Fate brings them together. The musician continues his career and becomes a successful accompanist and arranger, while the artist makes a name and career with his innovative paintings. In the mid-70s, both of them performed Russian songs in cabarets. Among the names about which the film tells are famous Russian singers, Alyosha Dimitrievich and Volodya Polyakov. And of course, the brilliant Russian poet and singer Vladimir Vysotsky.
