DIAZ BERTIS – scriptwriter, director. Was born in 1993 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Graduated from the T.Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, majoring in feature film directing in 2016 (bachelor degree) and film and TV director (master degree), workshop of S.Narymbetov. In 2016, his first short film “Ayaldama” took part in the Short Film Corner of the Cannes IFF. His filmography also includes “Adai Zhylkysy” (2019, doc.), “The Gambler” (2022, series), “A Dark Yard” (2023, series).
