BORIS AKOPOV was born in 1985 in Moscow. In 2003 graduated from the Moscow State Dance Academy, in 2017 from the department of directing at VGIK (class of A.Eshpai and V.Fenchenko). His short “Paradise” (2016) was named the best graduation work at the VGIK International Film Festival. His feature debut “The Bull” (2019) won the main prize at the Kinotavr film festival, the main prize at the IFF in Karlovy Vary in the section “East of the West”, 4 Golden Eagles and other awards. His movie “Kath” is participating in the MIFF competition “Russian Premières”.
