After thirty years working in a municipality as a public servant, Luis is fired by the new major
Now he is sixty years old and he decides to return to his hometown where the terrorists killed peasants and his parents twenty-five years ago. He reassumes apiculture, the old trade that his father taught him when he was a child. Luis finds a new opportunity to move on in his hometown.

LUIS BASURTO is a Peruvian director, scriptwriter and producer. He did his training alongside filmmakers from the Chasqui Group. In 2014 he filmed his debut feature “The Macho Trip” the was premiere in 2021. He was the producer of Alonso Izaguirre’s debut film “The Silent and Time” (2020) and also produced “Eastern Germany” (2021), the second film of Alonso. “The Hives” is his second feature film.
